Morrisa, I'll pray for Gary's speedy recovery. It sure was good to see him this afternoon. Of course if there's anything I can do. God Bless D. Eastgate AKA Shrek http://www.jollyrogersmotorcycleclub.com/
James and Gary work at BNSF and he received a call from you the other day. Please know we are praying for Gary's full recovery and for both of you. It is great that you have so much support. Please let Gary know that guys at work are praying and waiting for great news of his recovery.
How about the time that I came over to pick you up in my first ever car (we were both 16 years old). We drove my baby shit yellow Opel over to Sharon Center. After a bout of epitaph hunting at our favorite cemetary, you made me stop at the hardware store so you could run in and buy me a "car necessity." You came back out of the store with a cooler big enough to hold a six pack.
(I still have that cooler, although now it holds sippy cups instead of beer...but that's a whole different story now, isn't it?)
Then we went drove to the junk yard and found a tape deck for $5. You said, "You can't have a car with out tunes..."
We drove back over to your house. Your dad was busy in his little electronic workshop. You busted in, grabbing this tool and that explaining to your dad that we had a new car that needed tunes badly.
You came back to my car and opened the door. The buzzer alert started going off because the door was open. You said, "That's the first thing that has to go." You spliced the wire and the buzzer stopped.
We searched around for "hot wires" to use for the tape desk. After 20 minutes or so, you said, "Oh, I'll just use this wire that I cut."
After hooking the tape deck up, we popped in a tape (Scorpians-The Zoo)and were thrilled! So we hopped back in the car to cruise some more.
As I shut the door, the tape deck stopped. You had used the same hot wire for the door buzzer...door open, big annoying buzzer. Door shut, buzzer goes off. We laughed our asses off.
Then you said, "Let's fix it. I can find another wire."
And I said, "Nah! I like it that way!" For two years I drove that car with the driver side door cracked open whenever I wanted to listen to a tape. It always made me laugh! : )
Karen has been updating us. Chip and I are praying for both of you. Chip went through a brain injury in 1994 two months after I met him. He was in a dirt bike accident (with a helmet). I can remember how hard it was. I remember in the early days when he was in a drug induced coman, all we could do was to pray and wait for him to heal.
Considering how messed up Chip was, it is truly amazing how well he recovered. I really can't believe it when I think back.
For now, just keep positive and be thankful you are in a great trauma hospital.
James and I are thinking of you both. Gary is a strong man! We have many fun memories of Gary. New Years 2007 Gary watched me almost blow my self up with a morter, and we terrorized Ballard horribly. Every time Jimmy and Gary hungout they would play their guitars and play "The Gary Song". Needless to say, we have many wonderful memories of Gary. We hope for a speedy recovery and pray to keep you strong Morrisa. Give Gary our love.
Hey Gary, Sorry to hear of your accident. I know if anyone can pull out of it though, it's you! Haven't talked to you in a while (I think Mike and Sarah's wedding) but think of you and the rest of the Wadsworth transplants all the time. Seems like you always know how to put your own unique spin on things when we are able to get together. Well get better soon, I need to plan another trip out west to catch up and plan some more shenanigans! Peace, Rick
